Sounds like it will make an excellent condiment as well. That is, before adding dishwashing liquid :)

Keith Kirsten also recommends a Nasturtium spray for aphids, scale and red spider - pour 500ml boiling water over 2 handfuls of fresh Nasturtium leaves and allow to steep for 15 min. Dilute 10 drops of resulting infusion in 1 litre of water for aphids and red spider; 250 ml in 2.5 litres for scale.

Thanks Ant, this pesticiide is not specifically against ants, so you can relax. It is a general pesticide, or rather a pest repellant, as they do not like the smell of garlic (not being French) nor do they adore chilli, (not being me or South American). so yes, it is a general pesicide. At the moment we are also looking at Khakibos tea to help controll the soil fungus Phytophora. I am really keen on any input on the use of GREEN homemade brews to keep my plants healthy, both at the nursery and in my garden. Come on you guys ,lets have some iideas.
By the way I spent the afternoon at the nursery. What a way to retire. I am loving it. Will love it more when I master this Computer beast!!

Is this a general pesticide, or is it recommended for particular pests?
